I just listened to a radio programme raising accessibility issues. Ludvig Strigeus who is a wheelchair user told the journalist that he can’t access the outdoor seating areas in many of the restaurants in Göteborg. Hello bureaucrats, time to take in the message. It’s 2012…. (For you who like Spotify, Ludvig is the head programmer behind the Spotify software)
This reminded me about three vidoes about accessibility that I produced a few years ago.
All people should be able to get around buildings and public spaces indepentently and with dignity. We all have different needs and abilities and thinking inclusively in your design you makes it accessible to everyone. Don’t you want all people who visit Göteborg to be able to spend money and contribute to the economy?
